A story to be told

March 1, 2008

In amongst the cobble stone streets stood this building. A remnant of an urban wasteland perhaps. Maybe a start to something new. I was memorized by this building each time we passed it.  The layers to it seemed so intricate and complex, and almost impossible to make sene of. Each time we passed it in the car, I took a picture, hoping to see some sense in all of it’s chaos. I thought about the people who made their homes in that place, and perhaps the people that do now. I thought about the people who built that particular building and how they would feel if they saw it in the shape it was in. It simply stood there, complex and complicated, as if begging to solve it’s mystery. I’m finding these moments more and more. The moments in which it all seems to be a disaster, but then in the ruin there is a story, a story that survives… In amongst the rubble of the urban wasteland is a beautiful story waiting to be heard.
